Cucumber Mint Melon Smoothie 🥒✨
It’s getting HOT here and yesterday I literally thought I might melt while walking back from yoga. Like, my makeup was sliding off my face in ways that should be illegal.
So I’ve been blending up this cucumber mint melon smoothie that’s basically summer in a glass. I’m obsessed and you need this in your life right now.
It’s ridiculously hydrating and fresh—exactly what your body wants on a blazing day or after a sweaty workout. For me, it hits just right after yoga or Pilates.

Why I Can’t Stop Making This Smoothie
This isn’t just a regular melon smoothie, folks. The cucumber makes it super hydrating which is clutch after my Wednesday hot yoga class where I sweat more than I thought humanly possible.
Plus can we talk about how it’s basically spa water but better? Last time I made this, I poured it in my fancy glass from Italy (from that trip where Mark and I got lost in Venice for THREE hours), put my feet up, and pretended I was at a resort.
Honestly, I make this when I need a mini vacation but have approximately zero time to take one. #momlife
And okay, yes, I still rotate in my berry beet detox smoothie when I’m feeling like I need a full reset, but this one? This one’s the chill, poolside version. No beet stains and no blender drama.

What You Need To Throw This Refreshing Smoothie
- 1 medium cucumber, peeled and chopped (about 2 cups)
- 2 cups honeydew or cantaloupe chunks (whatever looks good at the store)
- Handful of mint leaves (I don’t measure this — I just grab what looks right)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional if you’ve got a sweet tooth like me)
- Juice from half a lime
- 1 cup coconut water (or just water if that’s what’s in your fridge)
- 1 cup ice
- Optional: 1/2 avocado if you want it creamy
- Optional: scoop of vanilla protein powder if you’re trying to be healthy-healthy
How To Make It (Super Easy, I Promise)
- Peel and chop your cucumber. Nothing fancy here — just hack it up so your blender can deal with it. My ancient blender (seriously, it’s older than my teenager) requires smaller pieces.
- Cut up your melon however. No need for perfection, we’re not on a cooking show. Though I sometimes pretend I am and narrate what I’m doing until my husband gives me THAT look.
- Throw the cucumber, melon, mint, lime juice, sweetener if using, and coconut water into your blender. It already smells amazing at this point and I sometimes just stand there inhaling it like a weirdo.
- Blend it all up until the mint is fully mixed in. Nobody wants those little green flecks stuck in their teeth during a Zoom meeting. Ask me how I know this. 🙄
- Add the ice (and avocado or protein powder if you’re using them) and blend again until it’s all frosty and gorgeous. Sometimes I get distracted scrolling through Pinterest and forget this step. Don’t be like me.
- Pour it into your glass and drink immediately! Or take a pic for Instagram first because this pale green color is actually stunning. #nofilterneeded

How To Store This Cucumber Melon Smoothie
Real talk: this fresh drink never lasts more than 10 minutes at my house.
But if you have more self-control than me, you can keep it in the fridge in a mason jar (or whatever container you have that doesn’t smell like last week’s leftovers) for about a day.
It might separate a bit which looks weird but isn’t a big deal. Just shake it up before drinking.
When Milo the cat knocked over my glass yesterday (thanks buddy), I had to make a new batch and decided to prep extra. It was still pretty good the next morning when I was running late for carpool.

This Healthy Cucumber Mint Smoothie Is Actually Good For You (But Tastes Like It Isn’t)
Not to sound like THAT person, but my skin has been glowing since I started drinking this cucumber melon mint smoothie.
My poor face was looking so blah after staying up until 2am watching that new K-drama (worth it though). This smoothie for glowing skin is like drinking a facial.
It’s also perfect for after a workout because it hydrates you without all that sugary sports drink nonsense. Plus it’s super low calorie if you’re into that sorta thing.
FAQ About this Summer Drink
Can I make this without the honey? Yeah totally! Sometimes when I get those perfect summer melons it’s already sweet enough. Or use maple syrup if you want to keep it vegan. I’ve even used a date when I was feeling fancy.
What melon works best? Honeydew is my jam because it’s that gorgeous green color, but cantaloupe is also amazing. I’ve even used watermelon when my daughter brought home half a watermelon from Anna’s pool party and we couldn’t eat it fast enough.
Can I make this ahead of time? I usually chop everything the night before when I’m mindlessly watching TV and store it in containers. Then in the morning when I’m a zombie, I just dump and blend. Future You will thank Past You for this move.
Will my kids drink this? Mine actually do? But they’re weird. My son asks for “the green juice” but makes me promise there’s no “salad” in it. I just nod and smile while hiding the cucumber peel.
